A quiet quiz week…are we all ready for a long weekend? I know I am.
This week the song that everybody knew was Craig David’s “7 Days”, with David Bowie’s “Thursday’s Child” causing the most confusion.

1970s: “Easy”, The Commodores
Know it sounds funny but I just can't stand the pain
Girl, I'm leaving you tomorrow
Seems to me girl, you know I've done all I can
You see I begged, stole and I borrowed, yeah
Hint: Faith No More covered this song, and their version is arguably more well-known than the original artist, which is a type of car made by Holden/a naval rank above captain and below rear admiral.
1980s: “Blue Monday”, New Order

Hint: This band's integration of post-punk with electronic and dance music made them one of the most acclaimed and influential bands of the 1980s. The name of the song does reference a day of the week, but is never mentioned in the lyrics.

Hint: This British singer-songwriter is famous for walking away from the troubles in his life. This song shares its name with a (generally unfunny) Kiwi comedy TV show.
